P5

Welcome to P5

Well P5...here we are on the very last week of June and your last official week as P5.  We hope you are all well in your households and still keeping safe. You have all done so well over recent months and coped so well with a lot of changes in your life. We also hope you have been able to visit some family members in recent weeks as restrictions have eased a little and the sun has been shining to allow us to visit each other safely in the garden.

This will be the last week of home learning packs and the packs can be collected on Monday 22nd June from 9:30 a.m. - 12 noon.  We have also put links on the website to some fun games, I.C.T. activities and our C.P.S. Sports Day for this week. If you cannot get to school to pick up the pack, you can continue to print these off at home or write them into your workbook - a printer is not required.

Please note: Reports can be collected from the school on Monday 29th June from 9:30 a.m. - 12 noon

We would just like to extend a huge, 'THANK YOU!' to all the parents for your continued support and hard work through these trying times. Recent months have been challenging for everyone and it has been lovely to keep in touch with so many of you through emails, photographs and videos. Please enjoy a well earned break from home learning and enjoy some quality family time over the Summer without the worry of home learning in the background. We are truly indebted to each and every one of you for stepping up to this challenge over recent months and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Please stay safe over the Summer and we will meet again!

WELL-BEING WEDNESDAY

Our pastoral care team has been working hard on lots of ideas and activities which focus on our well-being. Please follow the link provided to find out what is in store for this Wednesday. Each week there will be anew focus. Thank you to those who sent in their 'positive rainbows' last week. It was great to see so many P5 faces on the page. We look forward to your pictures each week.

Virtual Sports Day

During this term, classes in Comber Primary would normally be practicing for our June sports day. Sadly, we cannot do that this year, but we have instead entered the Healthy Kidz Virtual Sports Day.  This is a fun event that all pupils can enter. It's free to do will be great fun if you're out in your garden or in the street.

You simply need to register by clicking on the picture which will take you to the website, then download the free Healthy Kidz app and register as a pupil at Comber Primary. There are individual prizes to be won, as well as a class trip to W5 for the class whose pupils complete the most activities.  Will one of the P5 classes win the prize? We hope so!

Please encourage your child to enter. This is a great opportunity to promote a healthy lifestyle in a fun and enjoyable way. We’d love to see photos of our pupils taking part and share them on our website.

Home Learning - Week 7 (18.05.20)

Below you will find the work allocated for this week. We would also like to remind you that on the school calendar this week, Friday 22nd May would have been a staff development day and the children would not have been in school. Monday 25th May would also have been a Bank Holiday. You may want to consider this as you prepare for this week and take a long bank holiday weekend and focus on some 'fun' activities instead. We thank you for all you are doing at home and hope you are all safe and well.

How can I email my teacher?

Great games to help learn and develop multiplication skills.

100th Day at School - P5B celebrated the 100th day by seeing what they looked like at 100 years old. We think we age well!
