This year we continue to work hard to respect and help the environment in Comber Primary School.
What we are doing this year
Clothes Bank Clothes Drops
- We have raised close to £650 in the last 12 months just through people bringing in unwanted clothes and putting them into our clothes bank. A massive thanks to everyone who has left items into school over the last few months. The money raised is going to be used to purchase things for Eco and develop our outdoor learning areas.
Wildflower Garden Area
- In March we will be preparing our outdoor flower beds to create a wildflower garden area. It is locates beside our pitch in Big Bear Wood. Keep an eye out for lots of amazing colours appearing as flowers grow over the next few months
- Again P1 -7 spent time outside in January with Karen from The RSPB who took each class for short birdwatching sessions. We saw lots of different types of birds.
P6 Bug Hotel
- P6 have been creating log and stone piles and also a bug hotel near our wildflower beds. This was part of our living things topic.
Look out for other events we are doing over the next few months. Check out our CPS Twitter page and also the school website for more info.
Help us raise money for our school by filling the clothes bank.
