What we Do ...

Later Gators  provides extended, high quality childcare provision for its pupils that meets the needs of parents/carers. We  provide a happy, welcoming, safe and secure place where all children are valued.

Prices September 2023

The After School Club operates between 1.45pm – 4.45pm Monday to Friday, term-time only. There is no After School club the last school day of every term when school closes at 12 noon. After School Club will fully operate during other early closures i.e. Parent teacher interview weeks.

At the end of the school day children will be directed by their class teacher to the After School Club for registration and at the end of the session, collected by parents at the back exit closest to the pedestrian gate.

What Happens in Every Session?

The children will be offered a light snack during their time at the After School Club and will have the opportunity to be involved in a number of activities. Typical activities include outdoor team games, books, Lego & construction toys, art & craft activities, drawing or puzzles. Our After Schools Club will have access to all school facilities including our multi use games area, the adventure playground, Big Bear Wood and our ICT suite. Our sensory room is available for chill out and television.

The emphasis is on play and children winding down after their school day, we are not a homework club.  Children may participate in any activity offered to them and whilst there are structured activities, they are generally given the freedom to make their own choices to promote self-confidence, independence and self-esteem.

Later Gators ....

We have great fun playing hockey and football on the MUGA pitch, playing in Big Bear Wood and the Adventure Playground, planting and enjoying the Outdoor Classroom in the sun and playing with each other in our Later Gators room.

Comber Earlies Breakfast Club

Breakfast club opens at 8.10am – 8.45am and is held in our school canteen beside the Primary One entrance and close to our Nursery and Key Stage 1 classrooms. At the start of the school day and the end of Breakfast Club, Key Stage 1 and Nursery children will be escorted by breakfast club staff to their classroom in readiness for the start of teaching time. Key Stage 2 pupils will be allowed to leave breakfast club to join their class lines on the start of the school bell.

Breakfast Club operates on normal school days, Monday to Friday, Term Time only. Children may only be dropped off between the opening times above.  Last orders for breakfast is 8.30am.

Children will have access to a choice of cereals, and toast to begin their day. Milk, juice and water are also available. Any dietary requirements will be catered for, please inform the office or session staff in advance.

After the children have eaten, they will have the opportunity to be involved in several desk activities. The emphasis is on the children having the best start possible to prepare them for the school day. Children may participate in any activity offered to them, but they are given the freedom to choose how they spend their time.

Prices March 2023 – June 2023

We operate a pay as you go system so booking is not required. The charge of £1 should be brought to the session staff the same day as attending.
