The PTA (Parent/Teacher Association) of Comber Primary School is a busy team of people whose aim is to fundraise in order to donate money towards resources to aid the teaching and development of the pupils within CPS.

It has been a very busy year so far for the PTA with a range of events organised for a range of ages (not just the children). We try organise as many different events during the school year and are welcome to suggestions from all parents and supporters of CPS. We organise non-uniform days, discos, fairs to name but a few. Below is a snapshot of events which have taken place so far this year...
Kildare Shopping Trip
On 25th February two bus loads of shoppers set off for Kildare Outlet Shopping Village. With a little excitement on the journey down (one bus broke down ) they stopped at Avoca for morning coffee and scones, just enough fuel for the shopping that needed to be done. A little behind schedule, they arrived at the outlet village and shopped until they dropped, or made it on the bus for home. It was a great day and a super fundraising event for CPS. Thank you to everyone who attended and we hope you enjoyed your day.
Sponsored Fitness Day with Grant Davison (Zeus Training Zone)
The PTA sponsored fitness day took place in school on Thursday 9th March. All children from P1 – P7 (along with their teachers and classroom assistants) came along to the Channing Day Hall to take part in a short, age appropriate, fitness session led by parent and personal trainer Grant Davison from Zeus Training Zone. The children were put through their paces with lunges, burpees, squats and much, much more. It was a super day and great fun was had by all....it was reported that some teachers and classroom assistants also took part. As well as being an enjoyable day, the children (along with their family and friends) raised a massive £3000 for the school. Thank you to everyone who brought in sponsor money. Our annual May Fair will take place on Saturday 13th May(11 a.m.-1p.m.). The PTA are doing a bottle stall and are looking for donations. This can be ANYTHING that comes in a bottle, e.g. shampoo, washing up liquid, sauce, drinks etc. Also, if anyone has any unwanted gifts/toiletry sets or unopened sweet/biscuits, they can all find a home on our popular tombola stall. Please send in all donations with children on Fridays.
If anyone is interested in a table for the May Fair at a cost of £10 plus the donation of a tombola prize/small gift, please contact Kathryn.
We hope as many people as possible can join us for what promises to be a fun-filled, family morning out for the whole family with a range of activities to keep the children entertained.
