Comber Nursery Unit is a bright and well-equipped Nursery situated within the main primary school grounds. The nursery has its own separate entrance door, and our spacious facilities include a welcoming entrance hall, attractive playroom, a 'quiet room', kitchen and assigned parents room.
There is a door leading from the classroom to the enclosed outside play area, which has been suitably landscaped, and which includes a covered patio area, a covered sandpit, mud station, climbing frame, planting area, and plenty of space to ride tricycles, scooters, and balance bikes! There is also access to our dedicated outdoor learning facility- Big Bear Wood that provides a wonderful exciting and enriching learning environment.
We recognise the importance of a smooth transition between Nursery and Primary One. The Nursery is very much part of our school family, and the children regularly use the main school facilities, for P.E. lessons and visit for events throughout the year such as our own Nativity performance, Sports Day and our very important Graduation Ceremony.
