This week is Children's Mental Health Week. It is so important at this time to talk to others about how we are feeling and discuss our worries.
We are all going through a challenging time. We are one big family in Comber Primary so look after yourselves and each other.
Here is a link to some activities you can do at home over the next few weeks https://www.comberprimary.com/healthy-mind/
Here are the PTA class photos which can be purchased using the order form sent home last week at a cost of £3 each. Photos are A5 in size and will make a lovely Christmas present.
Many thanks to Eileen from Penrhyn Photography for taking the pictures - we think they are wonderful!
Dear Parent,
Obviously we are again unable to have our usual fundraisers at this time of year, so we have a few alternatives to invite you to join in on to help us keep our fundraising efforts on track.
Firstly, we are thrilled to announce the return of our Christmas hamper! The staff of CPS have been busy filling two hampers to be raffled off to raise some much needed funds for the school.
From Monday tickets are available every day at the school gates or alternatively from Aimee Mitchell, tickets cost £1 each and our draw will take place on Friday 11th December.
Also on Friday 11th December will be having a Christmas jumper day at a cost of £1.50 to include a goodie bag which will be given to children to enjoy at either snack or lunch time.
Finally, we will be selling reindeer food packs for £1 these will be available from Monday 7th December and can be bought in school from your child’s teacher.
The PTA would once again like to thank you for all your support.
Due to the current Covid regulations, we are unable to have our planned prize day for our P7 pupils who left CPS in June.

Well done to all of our former pupils. You were a superb year group, wonderful Buddys and we are proud of all that you achieved. All pupils have been awarded their Buddy certificate.
Prizes can be collected from school on Thursday 17th September from the front entrance. Come along and collect your prize, it would be great to see you all again :-)
Our P6 teacher Mr Richardson has been taken unwell and is currently having to stay in hospital before an operation. He wants us to know that he is doing ok and the whole school community sends their best wishes.
In the meantime, Mrs Andrea Daye will be teaching P6 in his absence. Mrs Debbie Walker will be teaching alongside Mrs Totton in P3 for this period of time.
We are really looking forward to seeing you in school on Monday. We are excited to be back and we hope you are too!
Here are a few pointers for Monday:
From Tuesday – Friday you should arrive in school from 8:40am – 9:10am and you will stay in school until 1:45pm. You will need a packed lunch – dinners aren’t available until Tuesday 1st September.
See you all on Monday
Miss Seaton & Mr Bradley
Please find a list of measures being taken in school to try to get school back up and running again in the next couple of weeks. The staff have been collaborating together to work out how we can open again in a safe and practical manner and we wanted to share this with you as children are just about to return.
The list can be found on the Parents page / Useful information section.
Thanks Mr Logan
