We will be looking at verbs this week. Verbs are doing/action words which tell you what the person/object is doing in the sentence. Verbs can also tell you if the sentence is happening in the present, past or in the future. This week we'd like you to get familiar with recognising verbs in a sentence. Paint a picture of the sentence in your head and think about what is happening in the sentence…watch the following videos to help you understand verbs.

Now that you’ve got a little bit more understanding of what a verb is, why don’t you try your work. You could also make up some sentences of your own and try to find the verb (action word).
