General
Welcome to another week of remote learning for us. I know it might seem strange if some of your younger siblings are returning to school this week but our time will soon come. In the meantime, we just need to have a little patience.
With this in mind I want you to make sure you schedule some screen free time this week. Get outside and go for a walk, maybe you could see if you could spot any signs of Spring and send me a photo on Seesaw.
Please remember to collect your packs between 9 - 10:30 from the hall.
I will be on the Key Worker rota this Wednesday and Friday therefore interaction on Seesaw will be limited. Thank you in advance for your understanding with this matter.
Phonics
This week we are looking at the 'l' sound.
Variations include-
l / ll / le / el / al / ol / il / ul
You will start the week with your word sort on Monday.
On Tuesday you need to read the passage given to you in your pack and see how many words you can find with your 'l' sound within it. Make sure you underline or highlight the words you find.
On Wednesday your phonics task is to complete your spelling sentences as you normally would for your Wednesday night homework. Don't forget to highlight your spelling within each sentence.
On Thursday your activity is the 'See it Right' page in your pack. Remember to colour or highlight the correct spelling of the word.
On Friday test yourself on your spellings this week.
If you have spare time during your morning phonics session why don't you have a go on Nessy.
Mental Maths
This week for your mental maths we will be concentrating on division facts.
I want you to look at your 'Dividing Tables' sheet for this.
It is an important page that you must keep safe as we will be using it regularly throughout the next few weeks.
On Monday I want you to look at the column which lists dividing by 2 facts and start to learn them off. Remember your x2 table knowledge will help you with this.
On Tuesday I want you to look at the column which lists dividing by 5 facts and start to learn them. Remember your x5 table knowledge will help you with this.
On Wednesday I want you to look at the column which lists dividing by 10 facts and start to learn them. Remember your x10 table knowledge will help you with this.
On Thursday you will need to use your information sheet to revise all dividing by 2, 5 and 10 facts.
In addition to this, you can complete the challenge page in your pack with a mixture of these sums.
On Friday test yourself on your division facts - 2, 5 and 10
