Thursday 18th March

Thursday 18th March

Morning Check in on Seesaw – this will be going live at 9 a.m., but don’t panic, you have all day to respond.

Phonics – Our sound of the week is w/wh.. Thursday’s task is ‘What’s the Word?’ and your word list will appear on SEESAW. Tigers have a wordsearch to complete.

Tables –I will post your tables on SEESAW which you can write down and try and then you can mark them yourself using the marking slide…no cheating.

Reminder: I’d like you to complete a Friday Assessment tomorrow which is in your home learning pack. I will call out your spellings on Seesaw – make sure you do the correct group. So spend some time learning all those remainder facts again. You’ll also have some to, too and two and there, they’re and their sentences on your Friday Assessment too.

Literacy – Continue Water Story

Numeracy – Written Division with remainders

Today you’re going to continue your written division, however today you will have some remainders in your answer. Have a look at the video below which talks you through how to do this.

Short Division with Remainders

The short division method, including how you can think your way to each remainder WITHOUT WRITING ANYTHING DOWN! That's right... NO subtracting here!If this...

Now check your work for today and give it a go remembering to check your work carefully.

WAU – Cleaning Water Experiment

Today, you’re going to learn about cleaning water. The water we have in our houses is clean water that is safe for us to drink. Watch the video below to learn how this happens and the PPT on making a water filter.

Cleaning Water

Today, I’d love you to try the cleaning water experiment in your pack. This is one of my favourite experiments we do in school and hopefully you’ll be able to give it a go.

Remember if you do to send photos or a video to Mrs Boyd on SEESAW.

Well done for completing Thursday’s activities. Rest up for another day of fun activities tomorrow and maybe do some reading if you can to finish your afternoon! J
