Literacy -Reading Response

What is a boy to do when a lost penguin shows up at his door? Find out where it came from, of course, and return it. But the journey to the South Pole is long and difficult in the boy's rowboat. The boy realises what he has really left behind.

I love this story. It is one of our family favourites. Had we been in school, we would have been also watching the movie

(I have attached a short trailer below).

Oliver Jeffers (the author of the story) is from Northern Ireland. He is an artist, illustrator and writer who now lives and works in America.

Watch and listen to the story below and complete the tasks in your work pack.
