Today we were going to start an interesting comprehension booklet all about cross sections.

 

Read the diagram carefully and answer the questions that follow - you do not need to give full sentence answers today!

 

You can then begin page 2 - have a think about question 3 and come up with two ideas why it may not be true....

 

For question 4, draw a LABELLED diagram to illustrate one of your ideas from question 3. Use the diagram from page 1 as a guide to how to label your own. Make sure to colour it in!

Look at these images of some other cross sections. What are they? Notice the items have been sliced from top to bottom and you can see all the different layers.
