Poetry   

Your 1st challenge this week is to write us a Tanka poem. They are a Japenese style of poetry - watch the slideshow - Your Tankga will be on the theme of winter.

Spend your first lesson recording all the sense words you can think of connected with winter. Use the planning template to help you.

In your second lesson use your planing to create a Tanka poem. it must have - 

• Description - lots of adjectives and adverbs
• Interesting vocabulary - use a thesaurus for good descriptive words
• The correct number of syllables
• Correct Punctuation 
• A lovely picture
•  

Both Mr Pinkerton and Mr Richardson will be writing their own poems too.

Once completed please sent us a copy of your poem so we can put them together on the P6 page for all to see.  Please email your poem to us by Friday 15th Jan
