Following a site check and staff update on travel we are open tomorrow. This is subject to weather not worsening overnight, there will be a further update early in the morning. Please give yourself enough time to come to school safely and enter the school by the back P4/5 door only. 

Breakfast club will be on as normal. 

Please note that all parents should make their own decision about whether to travel to school or not. Give yourself enough time to travel safely, wrap up warm and be safe! 

Please note that the postponed World Book Day will not be on tomorrow but a day next week that we will let you know once the decision has been made - we don’t want lovely costumes ruined by slush or snow!

Due to the dangerous road conditions Comber Primary School will be closed on Thursday 1st March.

Good news, our phones are back working again. Please don't all call at once!

Just a reminder it is now time to hand in your child's Translink Data Collection page.  Please try to bring this into school on either Monday 5th or Tuesday 6th February.  Anyone in P1-3 who bring it in completed will get a sticker on Wednesday and anyone in P4-7 who bring in the sheet completed will get 2 House Points.

If you have been off on any days write absent beside the days and fill in the rest.  The sheets can then be returned to your class teacher.

Thanks for all your help with this.  This information will help the Eco Council to work out how we all travel to school.

This Friday 26th January is a Biker Breakfast for any child in P4-7.  Simply cycle or scoot to school and come to the dinner hall from 8.10am.

Why should we go?

• You get a FREE breakfast of pancakes, fruit and a drink
• Your mum and dad can cycle with you and get a free breakfast
• It is a healthy way to travel to school
• You can spend a short time chatting with friends
• You get a house point and also a FREE cycling gift if you come along

• It will allow you to tick  an Eco way of travel on your Translink Data page.

Hoping lots of you can make it and support this event.  Can we get 20+ people there?

Hello everyone, both school and Nursery are Open today. Please take care coming to school. All children should come through the pedestrian gate and come in through the P4/5 door as there is a clear path through the playground there.

Breakfast club is on today. All children should come in through the P4/5 door - walk down the corridor and out the P2 door to the dinner hall.

Nursery parents, for today only please use the front path to Nursery as it has been salted. Take extra care with traffic please.

School meals will be available today as normal.

With the weather as it is, we will be keeping a close check on the safety of the school from early tomorrow. At the moment school will be on as normal, however be prepared that if we need to we may have to close. In that eventuality we will try to make that call as soon as we can.
