As part of our pastoral care commitment to our pupils at Comber Primary School, we are launching Well-Being Wednesday.
Each Wednesday, there will be a fun activity for families to complete together, aiming to improve the mental health of our pupils. Each week there will be a theme that will introduce a different emotion. It would be great if you could take the time to complete the task and email us a photo of your child or the finished task when you are finished. This will help bring our pupils together. We are one big family in C.P.S. and it would lovely to see all pupils in school working on the same activity simultaneously.
Perhaps you could find time with your family this Wednesday to complete our first task.
These are strange times, but it is important that we all stay positive and remember the talents that we all have and the achievements we have accomplished. The activity this week will help pupils to think about the various things they are good at.
Try and think of seven things you are talented at and then draw a rainbow and write each talent in each colour of the rainbow. You can also use the rainbow template below. Your talents might include:
• School achievements e.g. maths, spellings, neat work etc…
• Sporting achievements e.g. football, dancing, gymnastics etc…
• Good manners e.g. sharing, kindness etc…
• Things you’ve achieved under lockdown e.g. baking, cleaning your room
• Something you’ve had to work hard at to achieve
• Outside organistaions e.g. BB, GB, Beavers etc…
Please spend time with your child to complete our positivity activity. Maybe older pupils could help their younger brothers and sisters?
We hope taking the time to do this will help our pupils feel more positive about themselves. Please email photos of your child with their rainbow to email@example.com by 5pm on Friday.
Many thanks for your support
